FSSC 22000 Ver. 6.0 Transition
The new version of the FSSC 22000 Scheme, published on April 1, 2023, brings significant changes that affect certification bodies, certified organizations and those aiming to obtain certification in the near future.
Below you can see some of the results of the change with Ver 6.0 and read an outline of the process for organizations to switch to the new version.
Changes in FSSC 22000 Ver. 6.0;
The aim behind the creation of FSSC 22000 Ver 6.0 is to create stricter regulations for organizations, including measures to combat food waste, as well as continuous improvement.
Certified organizations must meet significant changes, such as expanded requirements for labeling and allergen management. Ver 6.0 also brings new demands, especially in food safety and quality culture, quality control, equipment management, prevention of food waste and communication regarding extraordinary events.
For a detailed explanation of the changes mentioned above, you can use the link below;
https://www.fssc.com/schemes/fssc-22000/documents/fssc-22000-version-6/#interpretation-documents
To ensure a smooth transition during the FSSC 22000 Ver 6.0 audit, certified organizations must adapt their management systems to be compliant with ver 6.0.
Ver 6.0 has been released, but audits for it will begin on April 1, 2024. After this date, audits conducted under version 5.1 will no longer be permitted. FSSC 22000 certified organizations will be upgraded to ver 6.0 during the next regular audit scheduled after April 1, 2024.
This upgrade can occur during a recertification, an announced surveillance audit, or an unannounced surveillance audit. The INSPECT audit team will help carefully plan the upgrade to ensure a timely transition for all organizations.
Ver 6.0 introduces revised rules for calculating audit durations for certification bodies, as well as changes affecting companies. According to the FSSC Foundation, audit durations will generally increase (due to the revision of ISO 22003-1:2022). The exact increase in duration will depend on the scope, complexity and size of each organization, and will be an average increase of 12 hours (equivalent to 1.5 days) in audit duration per certified company location. The purpose of this adjustment is to provide sufficient time to audit the expanded requirements and additional reporting obligations.
For the latest information and updates on FSSC 22000 Ver 6.0 and the transition process, please contact INSPECT Head Office or send an email to info@inspect.com.tr

ISO 27001:2022 TRANSITION GUIDE FOR CERTIFIED CUSTOMERS
ISO 27001:2022 Revision
The information security management standard ISO 27001 was first published in 2005. It was revised in 2013 and updated again in 2022, and includes significant changes to Annex A. If your company is ISO 27001 certified, you will see these updates reflected in the security controls in Annex A.
WHAT HAS CHANGED IN ISO 27001?
The structure of ISO 27001 – Annex A has been completely overhauled. The updated version of ISO 27001 has been restructured and revised. Firstly, the revised ISO 27001 is no longer defined by the commonly used phrase “code of practice”. This helps outline its purpose through a set of information security controls.
Secondly, the number of controls in the new version of ISO 27001 has been reduced from 114 to 93. These security controls are now divided into four sections, instead of the previous 14 sections. The new domains of ISO 27002:2022 are:
Part 5: Organizational (37 controls)
Part 6: People (8 controls)
Part 7: Physical (14 controls)
Part 8: Technology (34 controls)
HOW WILL THE 2022 CHANGES AFFECT MY EXISTING ISO 27001 CERTIFICATION?
The new updates do not affect your existing certification to the ISO 27001 standard. Instead, accreditation bodies will work in partnership with certification companies during a transition period to ensure that organizations with ISO 27001 certification can transition to the newer version efficiently.
However, even if an updated version of ISO 27001 is published, your Statement of Applicability (SoA) must reference the controls in Annex A of ISO 27001:2013. ISO 27002:2022 should only be used as a reference to other controls and as a guide to understanding changes.
